Andrew K. Adams is a Network Engineer in the Pittsburgh GigaPoP and a Network Researcher in the Networking Group of the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center at Carnegie Mellon University. His current research and GigaPoP work includes: the National Internet Measurement Infrastructure (NIMI), sponsored by the National Science Foundation; firewall policies and configuration generation for high performance environments; network intrusion detection deployment and analysis; software tools, drivers and hardware interfaces for high performance networking; and responsibilities for applying these in production network operations (Cisco IOS/Juniper JunOS/Fore OS, ipf/iptables, Quagga/Gated, Ethernet/POS/ATM/Fddi/HiSSI, BGP/OSPF/IS-IS/RIP, PIM/MBGP/MSDP).
