Large MTU notice


In advance of any hard data or products (NOW)

(We) believe that current Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) sizes available in network equipment are far too small to be efficient at todays network data rates.   Theoretical analysis suggest that the ideal MTU for 1 Gigabit and faster networks is at least 64 kB.  We would require larger MTUs if they were available today.
