Why not Ethernet in the TCS?


Consider a communications intensive job
20000 CP/packet means 2 CPU's to feed each Ethernet
100% full net implies zero application cycles

20000 CP / 1500 bytes is scale independent
A killer for all clusters

This "optimizes" 5% of the system by burning 95%

(Not really fair since Quadrix does not do protocol in SW)
