We will not be able to test 10 GigE with real TCP on regular systems until at least 3 years from now because the CPUs will not be able to drive the bottleneck into the network at 1500 bytes.

Only now can we properly test GigE

How many years did it take to document the half-duplex foolishness in Fast Ethernet?
