Access is restricted.

Adding users

Access to FIDAP on the Ultrix front-ends is restricted by membership of AFS group oneal:fidap. This will become obsolete upon retirement of the Ultrix machines. 
  pts adduser -user username -group oneal:fidap
  pts membership oneal:fidap
Access to FIDAP on the C90 and J90 (ginger) is controlled by applying a Cray ACL to the license file. 
  cd /usr/local/acl
  spacl -a fidap7.[6].acl
  spset -a fidap7.[6].acl /usr/local/fidap/fidap7.[52,6]/bin/FIDAPlicense
  spget -ae /usr/local/fidap/fidap7.[52,6]/bin/FIDAPlicense

Status

960618 Version 7.6 installed on mario (C90) for Westinghouse. The 7.52 auth string worked (nothing new sent with the tape). Academic release in July, 1996. 950905 Version 7.52 announced for ginger (J90) and mario (C90). New structure - no fidap for unix f/e's, full installation on ginger and mario. GUI can be used only on ginger - user must apply for permission - since interactive limits might need to be raised. GUI can only be run from local disk in ginger - AFS tokens problem.

950816 Final installation of Version 7.52 for the J90 was performed this date. Path to the files is /usr/local/fidap/fidap7.52. Note that a common fidap directory was added to allow for acl protection of the package. Current license thru 31-jul-1996.

950710 Version 7.52 for the C90 was received and an initial install was performed in /usr/local/fidap7.52. This turned out to be a mislabeled J90 tape.

950201 Version 7.07 solver (c90) installed as default in /usr/local/fidap7.07. Current license expiration is 31-jul-1995. Upgrade announced.

950127 Version 7.07 pre- and post-processors (pmax) installed in /afs/psc.edu/packages/fidap7.07. This area will be moved to the current fidap7 directory after validation testing has been completed.
